And don't forget the Quest Protein Bars. They are the best bars I've found.

They have only 4g of carbs that don't come from fiber and no sugar alcohols or glycerin.

They are only available online so just do a search for Quest Protein Bars.

I always try to use real food but when it's impossible I like to keep them in my car and in my desk at work.

A nourishing food bar that I like and feel very comfortable with (no candy guilt) is the line by Odwalla, which includes carrot/raisin bars, strawberry/pomegranate, various ones with chocolate, and many others.

The carrot/raisin bar that I have in hand has 220 calories, 4 grams of fat (no trans fat), zero cholesteral, 4g fibre, 4g protein; vitamins, minerals; contains 34% organic ingredients; only ingredients that are not produced using biotechnology; no refined sugars. The list of ingredients sounds like a fresh fruit stand rather than a list of chemicals. I think I paid a dollar for this bar.
