Courtney Cox speaks about being a Healthy Celebrity Role Model.
Every hit show seems like it has a ‘period’ when everyone starts looking ematiated. Think “Ally MyBeal” and “Desperate Housewives.” - well, one of my sister’s favorite shows: “Friends” was definitely a hit with the female fans wanting to look like the very skinny Courtney Cox and Zone Dieter, Jennifer Aniston.
Now that reality is sitting in and a baby has been born, Courtney Cox recently stated in an interview how she regrets representing a very ’skinny’ frame when filming the hit show. As many role models realize ‘after the fact’ - their influence far outweighs what they perceive during that moment in time. It’s good to have her positive words out there so other’s can review what they symbolize to their fans, friends and family…and choose to positively represent a healthy figure.
Courtney Cox says, “When I was on Friends, there was a period when I was really thin and I thought I looked great - but in retrospect, it was not so good. I did not have anorexia but they kept writing about it. It’s bad for kids across America to think that people on the show they look up to have something like that. It was tough.”
