“Nothing tastes better than being fit” – unknown
Found this cute blog recently! It’s titled: “Better Body Journal” - basically, it’s about a guy who wants to get ’swole for summer’. What do I think???
I like it. I like it because it has progress pics and provides some good information so far. What I like most about online journals is the ability to reach out to the masses and have them witness your success…it also keeps you accountable!

As written on the ‘about’ page of his site:
Better Body Journal is a website dedicated to bringing you no nonsense information on weight loss, fitness, weight training, sports, and anything related to your general health and well-being. The world is in the middle of obesity epidemic, and our writers on the front lines. Whether you want to blame McDonalds, high-fructose corn syrup, or Santa Claus for obesity, it doesn’t matter. The root of problem lies within yourself and just because it is easy to blame outside influences, that doesn’t mean you can’t change.

Very, very cool.
I highly suggest that everyone start a journal whether public or private. While it takes some effort in the beginning, once ou start getting consistent, it get’s easier!
Some tips to an public/private journal:
1. Have a mission/premise/goal that you work towards
2. Be honest as possible
3. You don’t have to write all the time, just try to do it at least once a week. (even when you don’t want to)
4. Commit to understanding the importance of blogging/writing

Keep track of his progress!!! Koodles to him!!
I am in sooo much pain right now from an extremely hard leg workout yesterday.
The Leg workout went as such:
Superset:
Barbell Squats (25 reps) – 4 sets, low weight.
Plie Squats with 25 pd plate
One legged lunges (back foot elevated on a bench)
Superset
Step Ups (on bench)
Side Leg raises (on bench)
Cardio/Plyo Workout for 30 minutes
- Frog Jumps
- Split Lunge Jumps
- Side Lunge Runs
** Sprints in-between
** I finished this off with bike

SO! Today, I’ve been nervous walking up/down stairs, getting in/out of cars, or anything that involves movement! However, before dinner tonight, I played with my sisters kids and showed them how to play KICKBALL! I highly suggest everyone start playing with kids more! This activity was the ONLY thing that was fun enough for me to forget about the pain I was in!
Besides Kickball, I also raced with them, jump roped and played catch.
Even though I am a little sore, I plan on doing SOME type of cardio activity. Maybe 20 minutes of bike…
Tomorrow I plan on heading off to San Francisco for the IHRSA convention (after my morning workout) and then climb 52 floors for a Fitness Charity event after that! My left hand still really hurts a lot from my burn! So, I’ve been avoiding barbells and anything that involves me gripping anything!

“For me, it’s about quality of life over achieving a certain look. All too often we miss out on great experiences because we are unhappy with ourselves. We have a “fat day” so we skip the party, or we opt out on going to the lake because we wouldn’t be caught dead in a swimsuit. Getting in shape is about feeling good and having the energy to live life to its fullest!” – Jamie Eason
