Apparently, this super ‘buzz’ move is what helped Spartan warrior, Gerard Butler, get in rock hard shape.

I attended a seminar with Kettlebell guru, Mike Mahler, the summer of 2005 and was fascinated by these bells! Not only were you able to utilize your entire body in a movement that requires strength, power and core stability…but you were able to transform a boring workout program by adding a simple ‘bell’ to the mix.

Here is a one arm clean and press

You have to tighten up and apply more tension to have a solid foundation. You will have to let your back “sit back” and push your hips as far forward as possible for optimal leverage. Your breathing will change. Now you have to hold your breath or apply “power breathing” to keep the tension high to get the bells moving.

Here is a two arm military press

Clean a kettlebell to your shoulder. Look at the kettlebell and press it up and out until it is locked out overhead. Lower the kettlebell back to your shoulder under control and repeat. Make sure to contract your lat, butt, and stomach forcefully for added stability and strength.
