eeewww this irks me.!
I get super, super annoyed when I see personal trainers, nutritionists, dietitians and everyone else is this big fat, fitness world give clients programs that are unrealistic and meant to be ‘temporary’.
What is a ‘temporary’ program?
- When you eat regimented meals and NEVER eat out
- Chicken breast and broccoli (every day, sometimes twice a day…and with No salt!)
- NEVER eating carbs
- Abstaining from ALL foods on your ‘bad’ list
- Training Intensely hard at the gym 6 days a week (when you started with 0 days)
A recent report of 31 long term studies reveal that DIETS DON’T WORK – while you can initially lose some weight in the beginning, most dieters gain all the weight back and some!
I was having breakfast with a friend this morning and he told me he would start seeing a nutritionist to discuss his eating and bringing down his blood pressure. I told him that all he had to do was cut everything he just ate in 1/2! Not only will he being eating LESS calories, but he will STILL be able to eat what he likes to eat! That is long term thinking!
My BEST advice is to be moderate…lose it slowly and don’t deprive yourself. Have a better relationship with food, exercise and take care of your temple!

Diets is SUCH a BAD WORD.
