How to make a long distance, healthy plane ride!

Posted by Maria Kang on May 17, 2007

Hello all from the land of the Kiwi People!

I made it here in about 12 hours at approximately 530am in the morning! In an effort to make my trip healthy, fit and relaxing I did the following funny things:

1. I wore a loose workout outfit.

2. I performed lunge walks while making last minute calls.

3. I walked up and down the stairs (the flight deck was at the lower level)

4. I squeezed my butt cheeks and performed quad extensions while seated.

5. I ordered a ‘pre-planned’ diabetic meal! So my meals were all low in sugar, fats and carbs!

6. I bought a water bottle to constantly hydrate myself (since they took both of mine at checking point!)

7. I didn’t eat all of my food! – I gave the rest to my plane mate!

8. I distracted my desire for the munchies by catching up on movies I fail to watch when I’m in my daily life!

9. I had one glass of red wine (which is good for you!) to assist in some relaxation.

10. I wrote all my fitness and diet goals for this vacation and for the next 3 months. YES! I am super anal. :-)

Haha! I found this picture somewhere. It’s Hello Kitty Plane Food! lol!
