Top 5 Ways to get Exercise Enthusiasm!

Posted by Maria Kang on August 14, 2007

I am going to train tonight! And I’m sooo excited! Why? Because I build enthusiasm in my brain! Remember, someone once said, “Nothing is achieved without enthusiasm” So…get excited!

If you are still readingĀ  and not nauseated by my prior energy – then read this> these are some of the tools I used to get excited about working out:

1. I think about my long term goals: I envision my end date. For some it is a contest, a wedding, a party, a future date. Whatever it is – think about it and envision, envision, envision!!

2. I get my war gear on: YEP! Believe in the power of the uniform. For me: that is my capris, my favorite workout shoes, a colorful top and my base ball hat. Being fully armed and ready gets me in the mood every time!

3. I think about my workout as I warm up: If you don’t warm up, you better start! It’s important to get that blood flowing and ready for execution. I always look at the gym floor and see who’s there, what machines are being used and which exercises I’m going to perform.

4. I take group classes that are fun! Tonight I am taking a dance class. I LOVE TO DANCE. I am the girl in the front row, looking like I SHOULD be the teacher! ha! I’ve never had formal training, but I’ve been a cheerleader and often perfrom dance during the talent portions of my past competitions. Last week I felt like I wanted to vomit from dancing so hard – but it was sooo much fun. That it why I’m sooo excited to train tonightT

5. I think about hitting my goal for that day: Working out is a daily priority. (unless it’s Sunday) So to know that I am going to sleep happy that I completed what I said I would do – feels sooo good. Think about checking that list of boxes in your head. That’ll make you go, go, go!

wwooooohooO! It’s Tuesday! Let’s train!!
