Happy Monday!! Let’s SET GOALS!

WOW! It is 7:28am and I am amp’d to post this before I do my 1st of 2 workouts today! I like to perform cardio in the mornings and strength training at night. However! On Mondays, I perform only cardio classes at night because it is sooo busy at the gym on Mondays. The crowd doesn’t calm down until around Wednesday when people are slowly trying to overcome a ‘hump’ in their midweek stress…right??

What are the best times to workout on Mondays?

1) 10am -3pm (people are off to work by around 9ish)

2) after 9pm (a lot of people train late at night – up until 11 sometimes!)

** The worst time to go on Monday’s is anywhere between 4pm – 9pm

Here are some extra thoughts to keep you motivated this Monday morning:

- SET your week out straight
- START with doing something not too intense, so you won’t be too sore or burnt out to still complete other fitness goals the rest of the week.
- PLAN out your meals for today
- ENVISION the rest of your week
- WRITE down your goals for this week
*** MAKE A CONSCIENCE CHOICE to change who you are today! Right now! Like this very minute!!!!!!
A lot of people tend to create goals in the beginning of the week, day, year…so if you are that person (which 94% of us are…btw that is my personal statistic) then I suggest you take out a piece of paper RIGHT NOW and write down goals.

What are my goals this week?

TO FULFILL ALL THE GOALS I SET ON MONDAY!!!!

In order for me to figure out what to write, I need to reflect on my long/semi-long goals first:

- to look great at the Olympia in one month
- look awesome for a photo shoot in 2 weeks

My immediate short term goal is:

- to look great for a friend who is coming in town tomorrow
- to feel beautiful when I visit LA this weekend

WITH Those goals in mind, my goal this week is to:

- Train 6 days this week. (4 of those days I will train twice a day)
- Eat 5 small meals approximately at 930/1230/330/530/830 (see! I moved those eating goals back because I knew I wasn’t ‘on time’ for the last couple weeks)
- Drink ONLY water. Lots throughout the day!

My GOAL TODAY is to:
- Perform one hour cardio and core at 8am (in 10 minutes I am leaving for the gym)
- Take a kickboxing class tonight for my 2nd round of cardio
- Eat
930: protein shake/oatmeal
1230: protein shake/ small apple
330: tofu salad
530: ** I will be honest, I probably will not eat at 530 today because I want to take a class at 5 or 6pm and can’t train on a full stomach so I will most likely eat only 4 meals today. The last one will be at 730pm and will consist of salad and protein. In total, I will have 4 meals totaling 350 calories each and will add to my 1400/day diet.

LOOK GOOD?

NOW THAT’S HOW I “WORK IT” ON A MONDAY MORNING! I SUGGEST ALL Y’ALL DO THE SAME!!!!
