My Sickness Revealed!

So – if y’all read my last, two, pathetic posts about how ‘overtrained’ I was, then you’ll love this.

After my 2nd workout today (yes, I ran this morning and performed weights and kickboxing tonight) I found out I had my PERIOD.

Sorry BOYS, this post ain’t for you!

SO! Not only was a PISSED last week (PMS symptoms for me start exactly ONE week prior) but I was also dealing with a combination of Flu symptoms (due to the change of weather) and tons of delayed muscle soreness.

Today, after I changed my workout outfit 3 times because I felt ‘yucky’ in everything – I realized that I was holding onto a lot of water and could not fathom why?!! THEN, after the gym I feel sick only to discover ‘my friend’ came in town. ONE WEEK EARLY!

Since I ‘lost’ my period for 2 years during my eating disorder, I’ve been pretty regular in my cycles. However, this past month must’ve been pretty darn stressful, because that (and possibly the moon) is the only reason why I should be feeling this way!

This is welcoming for me since I was writing out my week’s exercise schedule and really didn’t want to change much since I really enjoyed double days 3x/week. I knew my body could handle it…and NOW I know that it wasn’t JUST overtraining, it was a little bit of sickness, a little bit of exhaustion and lot of my premenstrual symptoms!

yay!!! LET’s TRAIN!

    I love your website- I am going though the same thing right now- PMS, flu symptoms from the weather change..etc. It’s always nice to see that I am not alone and others struggle with feeling ‘blah’ and ‘bloated’ (guys never get this)

    Thanks Lindsey – it SUCKS!!!!! But, at least we live longer! LOL!
