“Look to your health; and if you have it, praise God and value it next to conscience; for health is the second blessing that we mortals are capable of, a blessing money can’t buy.” – Izaak Walton

Fitness Motivation:
“…a blessing money can’t buy.” How true is that? How often do you hear of stories of people who work hard their entire life only to spend the 2nd half of their young existence dealing with heart disease, diabetes, obesity? I often see really old people traveling on cruise ships because when they ‘retire’ they have the flexibility to travel and do things they always wanted to do. Unfortunately, these old people don’t have flexibility so much in their bodies to swim, dance, run, play…as they would have if they utilized their body to travel when they were younger. Your body is a gift. It is your instrument, your strength, your temple…in this world. So take care of it. Train today!

If there is one thing I’ve learned in my twenties, it was to take care of you body. We all think need to kill ourselves at work or providing for others….but we help no one when we work our bodies into the ground. Sure having a lucrative career may pay off financially, but will you be around to enjoy it???? Listen to your body and respectit when it asks for…good food, exercise and the proper amount of rest.

    YES – absolutely, positively agree!

I realize more now than ever that if we LISTEN to our bodies, it will tell us what it needs.
