I’m so tired of fitness stuff
Most of y’all don’t know this but I actually subscribe to a ton of online email sites so that I can updates on ‘what’s new’ in the fitness world: whether that be the competitive scene, the business industry, the fitness tips, the new studies and the interesting recipes.
While there is some great information out there, in all honestly, it all just aggravates me sometimes.
The fact is: is that even though people are writing (including myself) about fitness, talking about fitness, inventing new equipment and diet foods for fitness…none of that is truly tipping the weight scale in America. (sorry, this post isn’t directed to my international readers
We hear the same stuff: over, and over, and over, and over again.
Diet Myths.
Diet Crazes.
Firm your Butt.
Get washboard abs.
Eat Breakfast.
Go walking.
Don’t eat Fast Food.
Exercise 3x a week.
Turn off the TV.
Stop feeding your kids junk food.
A new study finds that fat is related to heart disease.
Get a free month at a gym.
Take this new fat loss pill.
ughhh. How annoying.
I’m just tired of it? Tired of the same stuff written over and over again. When I first created this site, I talked a little bit about celebrity diets, gave some recipes and maybe educated people on lunges and core stuff. Right now, I’ve decided that I really want to stick with what I know: and that’s MOTIVATION.
Motivation is the internal driver that handles the psychology of your success.
We get motivated by becoming PART of the fitness industry.
We get motivated by ROLE MODELING people who inspire us to be fit.
Lastly, we get motivated when we read words that move us into action….phrases that inspire us to become better physically than what we are today.
I can’t stand fake endorsers, unrealistic body expectations and quick fixes anymore. I’m tired of the same ‘fitness tips’ being said a hundred different ways.
What inspired me to write this you may ask? I should take a screen shot of my RSS Feeds and show how ridiculously redundant every fitness site is.
So what do I do from here?
I write, and write, and write….trying to keep my level of enthusiasm up and carrying all those who read this site with me on that journey.
Fitness is more than dieting, exercising, planning and delivering…it’s a spiritual quest in which you will find YOU in the effort to develop your physical self. That is what this site is about.
This has nothing to do with what I just posted. I just thought it was funny.
That will be me (with the blue floater) 50 years from now! LOL!

Good for you Maria. I really resent getting those boilerplate “fitness bulletins.” Don’t you think it is dishonest for the writers to present those as their own w/out attribution? The reader thinks they are getting info from a fitness expert they respect only to find it really comes from some service to drum up business. I appreciate our honesty as a writer.
