Sugar Comas: Halloween Candy Hangovers

Posted by Maria Kang on November 1, 2007

If you ate too much candy last night don’t feel guilty! Realize that the past is past…it’s done…it’s dead…it’s over! So don’t feel regret, look at all the positive changes you can make today!

I am notorious for sometimes overindulging in sweet foods…especially brownies and chocolate. The next day I am usually bloated, very sleepy and experiencing body esteem issues :-)

Here are my Top 6 things to do to cleanse your system:

1. Lower your carb intake.
Give your system a break from processing all the simple carbs you consumed the night prior!

2. Drink a lot of water.
Cleanse your body with some clean fluid.

3. Get your body moving.
Perform cardio and utilize that stored energy for some muscle growth.

4. Eat a lot more protein.
Good, lean meals never hurt anyone, right?!

5. DON’T fall asleep.
Get through your day. In a day you will feel better.

6. Eat more fibrous foods.
Yep – love the salads, the veggies, and the fruits. Clean, whole, organic foods will clean you up in no time!

How cute!! At least the sugar will make him nap a bit longer :-)
