“You only ever grow as a human being if you’re outside your comfort zone.” – Percy Cerutty

Fitness Motivation:

One of my favorite quotes reads “If you want to grow, you must be challenged. There is NO other way.”

Yep!

If you want to become a different person than you are today, then you must do things differently.

Not only must you perform different things, but you must be in a challenging environment where that difference is upward growth.

The stages of muscle growth look like this:
1. You CHOOSE to have bigger biceps.

2. You lift a weight that is at an 8/9 on a 10 point scale of perceived exertion. (after warming up of course)

3. The muscle fiber tears during the lift and causes pain.

4. When you are at rest, the muscle fiber rebuilds on the damaged ones, creating MORE strength and size.

Whenever you grow, there will be challenge.

You must step outside your comfort zone…work at a higher degree in your perceived exertion and then have faith in your actions.
