“The tragedy in life doesn’t lie in not reaching your goal. The tragedy lies in having no goal to reach.” - Benjamin Mays
Fitness Motivation:
Anyone who is really close to me (or just reads my journals) knows that I am a HUMONGOUS goal setter.
I wake up with a goal and I go to sleep either completing it or not.
I go to the gym with physical goals in mind.
I go to the mall with a specific gift in mind.
I read books and watch tv with intentions in mind…
Everything I do, I do because I have a PURPOSE in doing them.
One of the easiest and hardest things about working out is creating a STRONG INTENTION behind why you want to perform cardio, workout 4-5 times a week or forfeit the dessert table.
Most people don’t like to create goals because they FEAR COMMITMENT. They are scared they might not complete the goal and feel bad….or that they aren’t strong enough or smart enough to get to wherever they want to be.
Setting exercise goals is like setting life goals: in order to create purpose in life, you must first realize WHY YOU EXIST.
So - in accordance, in order to be enthusiastic and motivated to train, you must first realize WHY YOU WANT TO BE FITTER.
Set your goals.
Write them down.
Dream Big.
Then break your task list down from 3 months, to 1 month, to 1 week, to 1 day to RIGHT NOW.
RIGHT NOW, my goal is to workout, eat 5 small meals, drink a lot of water, get enough rest and think positive thoughts.
What are your goals today?
