Fitness Blog: January 27 – Feb 2
I’m feeling sick. Last night as I was leaving my girlfriend’s gym, she told me to put on a jacket (because I am someone who would leave sweaty with no coat/sweater on) and I did – but not really…
I have a lot of neck soreness, muscle aches, chills and fatigue. What are these symptoms telling me??
Regardless, I still performed easy cardio this morning on my bike and am planning on going to the gym later to train Chest, Abs and Kickboxing.
Last week I would give myself a good 7.5/10. Why? Because I ate a free meal on Thursday and a little bit of extra sweetness on Saturday night. However, I was still able to lose a consistent 2lbs/week and have already dropped 4lbs of nasty fat
I have found that the best thing that has helped me by far is:
- storing all my food in tupperware containers
- taking my supplements
- working out with friends
- updating my colorful progress chart (which I love to see absent of RED and YEllOW: those days stand for Rest day and Free Meals
I have a ton of goals this week as it is my 3rd week and I usually determine my progress by the POWER OF 3’s:
In 3 Days you conquer your food cravings
In 3 Weeks you start to build stronger habits and seeing your first physical progress
In 3 Months you see Major Transformation progress and established lifetime, healthy habits.
I always look on the magical number “3″ for everything – in fact, my friends will swear that by the 3rd week of their dieting, they have usually made some progressive, physical change and they get excited! THIS also marks the time when you either stick with the program or you veer back to what you used to do.
SO! With that said, here are my goals this week:
2. Eat Clean until Sunday
3. Stop eating at 9pm
4. Wake up each morning at 630/700am
5. Pray and state daily intentions
Workout Plan:
Sunday: REST
Monday: Cardio 2x: AM Run (20) and PM Stair (20)
Tuesday: Cardio 2x: AM Bike (30) Chest/Abs/Kickboxing
Wednesday: Cardio 2x: AM Run (20) Back/Abs/Zumba
Thursday: Cardio 2x: AM Bike (30) Shoulders/Zumba
Friday: Arms/StairClimb
Saturday: Kickboxing Class

Here are my bikini comparisons.
The first one was taken in my first fitness competition in 2003 -
I won Miss Bikini California
The second one was taken at a photoshoot the day after I had a huge binge.
The third one was taken after I purposely gained 8 pounds and won 4th place at Bikini America.
The last one was taken January 22, 2008.
My goal is to lose 7% of fat.
