Daily Fitness Motivation – February 20

“A person will get well when he is tired of being sick.” – Lao Tzu

Fitness Motivation:
This past week, my stomach felt bloated from sipping some of my boyfriend’s milkshake – I was annoyed BUT not ANNOYED ENOUGH to eat an ice cream sandwich later that evening…

Even though I’ve now become lactose intolerant in these last few years, I still haven’t shaken off my desire to eat ice cream ONCE IN A WHILE.

In fact, when it comes to eating less saturated fat, less sugar, less calories – it is hard to shake off the short term desire to consume these foods – and I KNOW IT.

What I have found to be the best solution in avoiding unhealthy foods is to THINK about the after effects of what you feel like after you eat a lot, after you don’t work out or after you fail to complete what you planned.

Whenever you partake in ANY action, think about the long term effects. KNOW – that every action has an effect.

SO make sure your actions reflect what you want to effect.

Get tired of feeling bloated, feeling overweight or feeling insecure.

Get tired of not achieving your goals or not living up to high standards.

GET TIRED.

Once you are tired of being sick – you WILL get well.

    Maria,

I can totally relate. I too found out that I was lactose intolerant (in fact I was just commenting on this on my blog today!) and it is now getting to the point that crappy fake processed and sugary foods really make me feel physically bad; enough for me to remember and NOT want to go there again. Unfortunately, going to Olive Garden never upsets my tummy!!!
