Francisca Dennis lands her 2nd cover on Oxygen!
Okay - so it’s not that much of a secret that I’m a BIG fan of Oxygen Magazine.
I like Oxygen for a few reasons:
- they feature women who are fit and athletic versus skinny and flabby
- they have great workout tips
- they update people on the competitive fitness world
- they featured me in 3 sections (at 3 different times) I was in their Future of Fitness, Love and Fitness and Website Feature!
Their April issue is out and mother of 6, Francisca Dennis makes a 2nd appearance! Besides being a super, duper mommy, she is a fitness competitor, a writer, a personal trainer and a wife.
I am writing an article of her in Max Sports coming out in May so I’ll indulge all of y’all on some of the answers she gave me to common fitness and lifestyle questions! Stay tuned for the full enchilada!

- What is your weekly workout?
It varies.
But I generally train 6 days/week weights and 6-7 days of cardio (45mins) I’m always mixing up my training. But I try to train 2-3 body parts w/o and hit up abs 3-4 times per week
- What is your philosophy on training?
I’m pretty intense in the gym. I stay very focused and leave little rest time between sets. I always superset to be as efficient as possible. I feel like I’ve wasted my time if I don’t put 100% into it every workout and am disappointed in myself.I love the hard core exercises using my own body weight… pull ups, chin ups… dips… leg raises…push ups etc…. they are so effective.
- What question are you asked the most? What is your answer?
I’m frequently if I had all 6 kids myself.
Well…I laugh usually, and let them know that I would’ve loved to have had my husband Mark carry a few babies for me…but nope… I did that one on my own…. All six…(no twins)…. And YES WE’RE DONE!!!
- What is your biggest accomplishment?
I’m very proud of my family. My kids range in age from 20-5 … it’s been a challenging, rewarding and amazing experience every step of the way with them. They’re all incredible people and I’m so proud to be their mom. So I would have to say, raising my children has and still is my greatest achievement. I can’t take all the credit though… my husband is awesome and an incredible dad.
Stay Tuned for her full interview, which I will post in a couple months when the article comes out. In the meantime, check out her website and pick up the latest issue of Oxygen!
