“FAMOUS-ity” being Famous makes you Fit??

Posted by Maria Kang on April 28, 2008

Every new American Idol poses speculations that he/she will lose weight after being crowned…in fact, most people who start ‘overweight’ almost always lose weight sometime in their career. With the pressures of being on camera and in magazines, many stars have either:

- LOST a ton of weight

- Had weight loss surgery

- Became a spokesperson for a diet pill, diet book or personal trainer.

 MY thoughts???

- If you are very obese or overweight, then losing weight is  a positive step in the right direction. You SHOULD care about your health. Nothing IRKS me more about this subject when ‘fat proponents’ get upset at overweight actresses for deciding to lose weight for health reasons.

- Being rail thin is NOT good. To me, most women/girls become overly thin because of a variety of reasons:

1) They fell intense pressure
2) They are trying to fit in.
3) They have a very poor self image
4) They have skinny influences as friends
5) They are using drugs
6) They want to get attention from the media
7) They had poor female role models growing up.

- LASTLY: If you are going to promote something, BE HONEST. If you didn’t really try Windsor Pilates, a Diet Pill or Exercise equipment, don’t say that you did!
