REVIEW: Skinny Songs CD

Posted by Maria Kang on April 28, 2008

Thin! | You can’t buy thin — believe me, I’ve tried. I even hired a health-food cook for a month once — I gained four pounds that month. So, I wrote these lyrics as a reminder that there’s no way to get what we want other than through our own efforts.

Money can’t buy you happiness
Of this, I’m a believer
There’s something I want, I must confess
– But money can’t buy that either

( I jus’ wanna be)
Thin! — I don’t deny it. Thin! — I wanna try it
Thin! — but I can’t buy it. Guess I’ll have to di- di- diet

Thin! — not telling you lies. Thin! — I want smaller thighs
Thin! — but I realize, I guess I’ll have to exercise

Got myself a private chef
Who serves me what I should be eatin’
But that didn’t solve my problem yet
Because I’m always cheatin’

Heidi Roizen created an ‘interesting’ cd of songs called “SKINNY SONGS”. With such tracks as:

- The Incredible Shrinking Woman

- Who the Hell is that?

- Skinny Jeans.

It’s got a mix of country, jazz and hip hop. Honestly, while the words are motivating, it’s one of those cd’s that seem like it belongs with a great sitcom. Like the sitcom called “YOU!” IF I were to ever create a ‘you tube’ video of my progress, I would probably use one of their songs in my background music :-)

For me, songs from Britney Spears, Janet Jackson and Fergie are my top workout songs because it talks about looking HOT and awesome for your man, your ex or yourself.

Need some fun motivation? Listen to a “skinny song” :-)
