Memorial Day Weekend Fitness tips!

Yay! Since it’s Memorial Day weekend, this is the time to go SHOPPING for all your favorite fitness stuff as most stores are having HUGE sales starting today.

I would stock up on:

- a new pair of athletic shoes

- workout tops and bottoms

- home gym equipment like dvd’s and weights

- supplements!

Here are my tips on staying fit this labor day weekend!

1) Workout TODAY and TOMORROW morning. It’s good to get the weekend started on the right foot.

2) Keep a water bottle handy as it is very hot in most areas and you will need to keep yourself hydrated ALL the time.

3) Try to do something ACTIVE every day. Whether that means hiking, swimming, running/walking, etc.

4) Try to limit the alcohol – I would choose either Sat or Mon to drink. But not both days.

5) Hang around a friend who is a ‘health nut’ too – so you guys can motivate each other.

6) Don’t overindulge in anything…just have a little bit of everything you like when treating yourself at a BBQ.

7) Bring your own burger! I often go to BBQ’s bringing my own garden burger, or in the past, I’d bring Salmon and Turkey burgers. I’d also bring a wheat bun!

8) Enjoy the weekend and wear sunscreen!
