Fitness Pregnancy Blog: I’m in my 3rd Trimester.
YEP! I’m 7 months now!
And despite popular beliefs…you are NOT pregnant for 9 months… you are actually pregnant for 10! YES, 10! It’s a total of 40 weeks and right now I am on my 28th week.
Since hitting the last leg of this journey, I’ve been feeling really, really, fatigued. I didn’t know if it was because I wasn’t sleeping as well (because of this belly of course and let’s not forget about those crazy pregnancy dreams) or if it was because of my diet.
So: I did a couple things.
1) I took my computer out of my room (since I tend to do stuff late at night)
and…
2) I switched my diet (sorta)
My fatigue has gotten a little but not a lot better…so now I have finally come to terms with mother nature and accept that this alien in me is stripping me away from all my good nutrients and energy, therefore, I just need to DEAL with it as best I can.
I do try to walk my dog at least 30-60 minutes a few times a week and I make it to the gym at least 2-3 times a week for sure. (Depends on how many times I walked this week of course)
I had my pregnancy blood test results back and the doctor said I was in the clear! Everything was perfect…no gestational diabetes, cystic fibrosis, or any of the other stuff they test. In fact, she even said that I had one of the cleanest urine tests they have seen in a while. THAT is always good to hear! I’m also gaining weight steadily and don’t REALLY look 7 months. I definitely have a belly, and it seems MOST of my weight has settled there. THANK GOD!
These days my diet looks like such:
Breakfast: protein shake and cereal (I have been very consistent here! I’m so proud of myself)
Lunch: Lean Cuisine (I know this is bad, but I really hate cooking these days)
Dinner: Unfortunately it’s whatever we eat when we go out (as I hate cooking right now). So usually this consists of shrimp taco (no cheese or sauce) or sandwich, etc.
Snacks: I do indulge in soy dream sandwich bars (like 100 calories a pop) and baked chips (I really like the saltiness even though I shouldn’t eat anything that will retain water!)
Lastly, I LOVE FRUITS!
Right now we are busy setting up the nursery, moving stuff around and getting MORE ready for the baby. Very exciting/nervous/exciting time!

Taken earlier this week. This is the best belly view I captured. No stretch marks yet. whew!
