Pregnancy Fitness Blog: It’s all about walking!

Posted by Maria Kang on October 23rd, 2008

So…lately I’ve noticed some changes in my body. Most notably in my back. I think it stems from moving stuff around (I unloaded a lot of old books out of storage) So I’ve been feeling some pain in my back…even some nerve pain going up my back and into my shoulders. My mother says its my sciatic nerve.

I haven’t been going to the gym because I am tired in the mornings and the evenings - and everywhere in between I am busy. So walking has been my best exercise (which is recommended. THAT and swimming) I usually go really late at night..one night I went at 11pm (with my dog to protect me!) and try to go for 30-60 minutes.

I checked my weight (after gettin off the scale for at least a week) and was sooo happy to find that I hadn’t gained anything! Of course, I want the baby to get bigger - but he’ll only get 5 pounds heavier from this moment to the day I give birth. He moves a lot after I eat and especially around 2am.

Funny, because today I didn’t get a lot of sleep. I had insomnia until around 3am…and then woke up at my standard time at 8am. Now - I’m gettin ready to head out and do a bunch errands as my mother is having a big celebration on Saturday for  her 30th wedding anniversary. Lot’s to do!

I do hope though - that I get to the gym tonight and do my Zumba class. I miss it!

We’re putting together the baby’s room right now.
All we need is some wall paper borders and a bookshelf!
I bought a ton of winnie the pooh stuff.
