I love this! I am going to try them later.
is TODAY!
Monday is a new start to the week -
And this morning…is a new start to your day!
Check out this great article:
by I know, I know, the first day of the workweek is tough enough but stay with me on this. Loads of studies show that Monday is really the best time to kick off any get-healthy regimen for this simple reason: it represents a clean slate, which is vital when it comes to embracing a smarter lifestyle plus there’s always another one right around the corner. Not convinced? Here are a few more reasons Monday is the greatest day when it comes to your health:It’s a fresh start
Just like Friday always begs the question: what will I do this weekend? (i.e., eat, drink and be merry), Monday just naturally lends itself to a more practical point of view—it’s the day you assess your workload, appointments, grocery shopping. Take stock of the week ahead with your new healthy habits in mind and plan accordingly.
It’s a ‘trigger’ day
Studies actually show that when it comes to embarking on any healthy activity, if you have a so-called trigger day—a set date or reminder—you’re more likely to follow through. Even better? Monday rolls around every 7 days, as opposed to say, once year, like Jan 1st, so even if you get off track, another Monday is just around the corner.
It’s proceeded by 48 hours of free(ish) time
This matters because you have two free days to prepare, and launching into a new healthy routine without planning sets you up for failure—how can you eat healthier if there’s nothing healthier in the house to eat? Use these days to grocery shop, dig out your workout clothes, write up a schedule, give your junk food to the neighbors. Whatever it take to get you into the healthy living mindset.

” Courage is reclaiming your life after a devastating event robs you of your confidence and self-esteem. It is facing tomorrow with a firm resolve to reach deep within yourself to find another strength, another talent. It is taking yourself to another level of your own existence where you are once again whole, productive, special.”
Yes. I said it.
Fitness People ALMOST ALWAYS seem to be Morning people.
They wake up: they have a list of priorities to complete, one of which is their dedication to exercise!! I guess this also goes with my second statement:
Fitness People ALMOST ALWAYS seem to be Breakfast people.
If they wake up early, they have to eat breakfast right?
If they workout early, they have to fuel their body, right?
AND breakfast IS the most important meal of the day!!
This morning I was working out – I actually ran 4 miles on the treadmill! And it was just a wonderful feeling…in fact, ANY crowd at 6-7am seem to be wonderful people at the gym. You see they regularly: some are old, others are professionals, a good deal are probably a Type A personality (like me) We all say hello to each other – have small chit chat – and kinda cheer each other on with:
“Glad to see you in here this bright morning…” or
“I sure am glad I got in here today…” or
“It’s always nice to see you”
Morning Gym People are an interesting group of people.
When I was done with my workout I felt SOOOOO great. I got my priority done for the day – I was able to train without interruption as there weren’t a lot of people hogging the machine – and it got me revved up for the rest of my day!
So what can YOU do to become a morning person?
1) SET your alarm clock and NO MATTER WHAT, get up for one week straight at your desired time: preferably 5/6 or 7am! Your body will get used to it!
2) GO to sleep early. If you sleep at 9pm, you will naturally want to get up early!
3) MAKE a date with a workout partner who will meet you at the gym.
4) PLAN the night before: pack your breakfast and lunch. Put your gym shoes out. Be prepared for the next day.
5) KEEP your shades open. I don’t know where you may be living, but I know that the sun rises around 5am-ish in Sacramento, California. The sunlight makes me get up for sure!
IF ALL ELSE FAILS: take this advice from a very, very wise philosopher:
It is well to be up before daybreak, for such habits contribute to health, wealth, and wisdom.
- Aristotle

Get up! Get up! and…GOOO!!!!
