There are SOOOO many transformation contests right now. From the top of my head, I can think of a few:

-Max Muscle’s MaxFormation

-Bodybuilding.com has it so you can win 10k just by having an awesome bodyspace profile

etc….

In fact, every fitness, wellness and nutrition place is hosting a contest. Why? Not only do they want you to succeed, but they want you to succeed using their products!! And why not? Joining a gym, a networking group, or starting a supplementation plan is only going to help you. You can win anywhere between $10,000-$25,000 to even $100,000 if you win some Grand Prizes.

SO do your research.

Think big.

Think of a brand you love. Like maybe Special K – or Subway – or John Scott Nitro…

and SEE if they have a contest going on . Even if they aren’t, why not create your transformation and propose being their walking advertisment later???

Everyone loves a role model.

SO – make THAT your motivation.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with this annual contest, the Arnold Classic is an exciting event where top bodybuilding and fitness/figure competitors for everywhere go and compete! This is held in Columbus, Ohio on March 6, 7, and 8th!

The 25^th Anniversary of the Paradise Cup Bodybuilding and Figure Championships took place last Saturday, 11/22/2008 at the Sheraton Waikiki in Honolulu Hawaii.

Promoters Guy Leong and Greg Leffcourt hosted an awesome competition with over 110 athletes – the most competitors in the history of the show!

Steve Preza was the heavyweight and overall winner for the Men’s Bodybuilding and Sarah Nakajima won the figure short and overall – look for both of these competitors to make an impact on the national level in the not too distant future!

Branch Warren, Quincy Taylor and local IFBB pro Clifton “Giant Killah” Torres were the guest posers at the sold-out event.

The Olympia is an annual bodybuilding event held in Las Vegas, Nevada seemingly almost ever year. Last year I attended and was able to supported my gal pal, fitness competitor, Tanji Johnson, but this year, I had a lot of commitments that prevented me from attending.

- I am ALWAYS gone for my niece’s birthday

- I have a Fitness without Borders event on Saturday

- David (my fiancee) is out of town and will come back in on Saturday too.

ANYWAYS.

I’m honestly not a big fan of juiced up muscles, imbalanced living and unhealthy eating patterns. While this industry has been the model for ‘fitness and health’ – I’ve always believed that steroids, illegal drugs, etc. are NOT healthy. However! There are a lot of people who do these competitions safe. Especially for the fitness and figure women who I love watching compete!
