Oh wow. I had to look back on dates to see when I last posted and couldn’t believe it was last Wendesday! I’ve literally been swamped since then. I’ve also noticed that I talk a lot about being really busy all the time…and the truth is, is that I AM! I can’t believe my life sometimes. Somtimes it’s literally hard to get out of bed knowing that there is a list of things of things to do, people to call, articles to write, paperwork to finish, employees to train, things to manage, etc.
UGH.
But I know that it will all slow down. It always does. My life works in seasons and right now I’m just going! Sometimes my life feels so slow I feel like I’m going crazy! But I think that’s the biggest life lesson I’ve learned (at least one of them ) …I’ve learned to work with my life seasons.
This includes working out. Sometimes I have I am so focused and have all the time to be disciplined and focused…preparing meals and exercising every day…and then there are times like RIGHT NOW when I have to find the time to eat, I definitely don’t work out as much and yet my body feels like its been hit by a bus every day.
I did try to relax a little bit yesterday. I watched the Superbowl…most of it being the latter half. I really liked the commercials…my favorite being the ‘google’ commercial! I ate some chips, but of course, time is always interrupted when you are with a little 13 month old who loves to walk and cry all the time!
We also went to the zoo! Which was okay…I went to the San Diego Zoo before so anything else looks like a small cage to me.
However, all weekend I did have to work. And I worked! And I am working today…all day!
I have a conference to attend in less than one hour. I am actually supposed to be leaving RIGHT now for downtown! I did manage to do a bit of resistance training when I woke up…and now I am eating a protein shake and oatmeal for breakfast. That might go back to waffles though as I only did that because we were out.
So I plan on updating again later this week – but for right now, I want to send my apologies for not posting more! Look for some reviews and tips this week!

Weight-Loss Supplement Has Potential to Burn Fair Amount of Calories
ScienceDaily (Feb. 3, 2010) — A new weight-loss supplement tested by the University of Oklahoma Health and Exercise Science Department has the potential to burn as many calories as a 20-minute walk, according to Joel T. Cramer, assistant professor of exercise physiology.
Cramer says General Nutrition Centers contracted with OU to test the weight-loss benefits of the nutritional supplement called the tri-pepper blend, which contains black pepper, caffeine and a concentrated form of capsaicin — the ingredient that makes red peppers hot. The OU study showed energy expenditures of three to six percent, results which are statistically significant enough to validate product weight-loss claims, Cramer said.
A group of participants in the study were given the supplement or a placebo followed by a metabolic rate test. The study measured oxygen consumed and carbon dioxide produced by participants to determine the arresting metabolic rate of each after receiving the supplements. The study confirmed the viability of the weight loss supplement.

Fat loss supplements…to take? or not to take?

I’ve been a crazy working mom lately. NON STOP. The only time I have some real peace is in the morning time. I’ve stopped going to my 7am fitness program at the school (for my nonprofit) since we have a fitness coordinator and an intern there…however, I do try to make it out there once a week. At first I thought I wouldn’t take it well since I like to get up early (even though every time I do I hate it) but I usually LOVE it after I leave the students.
It has been a great thing to find the intern when we did because I’m now 10 weeks away from giving birth and I’m getting busier in other areas of my life. I have two meetings today – both dealing with the nonprofit. I also have to run errands, buy stuff for my business and drop by a carehome.
In the midst of this, I really DO want to workout! It’s definitely hard though. I have to admit it, I’m terrible right now. I train maybe 2 times a week. 3 if I am lucky. However, my body gets a workout every day when I force it to move when it really doesn’t want to! I’ve gained 20lbs now and I’m at a pretty good weight for this long into the pregnancy. As I mentioned before, for some reason, eating doesn’t appetize me. In fact, I have to force myself to eat (esp towards the end of the day) because I get so busy, my adrenaline is so high…that I don’t feel like eating. And I have no cravings!
I have my standard protein shake and waffles in the morning – I take a fruit with me when I’m driving …but those are the only two consistent daily meals. At lunch time and dinner I’m scrambling to figure out what to eat or what even sounds good. Which is interesting because I used to LOVE Mexican – and now, everything sounds like too much food? Makes me sick thinking about how much food…
anyways…
I plan on training at home in about 20 minutes (after I wake the baby and feed him) – I spent almost two hours cleaning the house last night and it’s perfect! I LOVE it when it’s clean!!!! Then I’m off to Costco – then to my first meeting, then to the care home, then to my 2nd meeting, then picking up a desk, then bank…
AND I’m bringing little Christian almost everywhere I’m going.

With my Falcons 4 Fitness Team! Cheree and Emily! We are
at the student field trip this weekend at Sky High!

29 weeks belly shot! It looks small but my doctor says
he’s perfect! AND she said I’m a cute pregnant lady!
